This pattern is applicable in all Collaborative Translation.
In mostCollaborative Translation contexts, much of the actual collaboration is very indirect. For example, a contributor may create an entry in a collaborative terminoloty database, which is later modified by another contributor, without the two of them ever interacting with each other directly.
This can have a de-motivating effect on contributors, by creating a sense of isolation from their peers. It also makes it harder for contributors to coordinate in a more explicit way.
Therefore, provide members of the community with channels like discussion forums, which they can use to socialize and coordinate directly with each other.
